BOTH SIDES NOW- JANUARY 21st, 2012

After two GOP debates that made Kennedy-Nixon seem tame, Spitzer & Matalin agree that Romney blew it by having no good answer on releasing his tax returns. Mary has a suggestion for Mitt to get off the defensive -- give a paid 30 minute address on all networks on "the moral basis of capitalism" (think Ross Perot meets John Galt). They also clash on whether Newt played the race card in South Carolina (a black man the best "food stamp president"?) and whether the Keystone decision was about economics, the environment, or politics.

BOTH SIDES NOW- JANUARY 14th, 2012

Arianna & Mary debate: Resolved, Romney's the very likely nominee after winning two of two contests, but the less likely president because GOP rivals have opened big wounds -- Bain job-killer? deeply divided party?  Mary thinks the attacks have only hurt Gingrich and Perry while Arianna argues that it's potentially devastating if Romney's rationale against Obama as a "job-killer" is turned on him. Then the women discuss how Michelle is doing after publication of The Obamas and whether Tebowing is good for sports and religion.

BOTH SIDES NOW- JANUARY 7th, 2012

Reagan & Matalin spar over the GOP contenders and Obama's ballsy recess appointments. Can a blue collar Santorum seriously challenge the blue-blood Romney? As for the human IED named Newt, Ron adds a personal note: "when Gingrich invokes my father, I throw up in my mouth." Then: Mary opposes but Ron applauds Obama's recess appointments and end run around a balking Senate GOP minority.
