BOTH SIDES NOW- MAY 11th, 2012

Huffington/Matalin discuss how the shunned VP found his voice “in the crack of a gunshot” that day in Dallas. What can Obama learn from a “political genius” like LBJ who unified the country on rights but divided it over war? We hear agreement that there’s never been such a mixed legacy. Then they clash over Obama’s (gay) marriage vow but agree on Romney’s high school daze about bullying.

BOTH SIDES NOW- MAY 5th, 2012

Using James Fallows’s Atlantic cover as our lens, Reagan & Conway differ on whether 44 has proven a chess-master or a pawn. What matters more with Bin Laden – the raid or an ad? (Dizzy Dean: “It ain’t bragging if you done it.”) Then, an outspoken advocate escapes house detention… which describes both Mr. Chen in China and gay activist Richard Grenell in the Romney campaign. Also: Walker’s recall next month in Wisconsin and Murdoch possibly under oath in America.

BOTH SIDES NOW- APRIL 21st, 2012

Reagan and Matalin continue the conversation about The Righteous Mind by describing where their own biases come from. Can Skins-Shirts ever listen...yes if they trust the "other", like, say, Ronald Reagan and James Carville.  They debate Ryan& Buffett and conflicting presidential polls -- not much mind-changing there. Then Ron and Mary agree on John Edwards as a low-life but not a criminal and on tatoos as body art.
